After three weeks in Marsh Harbour, (though I was in Nassau for a week at a lectureship), I am finally settling in.
The culprit on the starter system was the "Slave Solenoid" or "Secondary Solenoid" as some call it. My good friend, Scott Harris, along with my new friend, Joe Canales, came over today and Scott worked on the starter system while Joe and I put the dinghy in the water.
The engine now cranks on demand, I can now dink out to the reefs and coral heads to fish, snorkel, and explore the island and nearby islands during my free time, and I am flying my Bahamas flag.
I'll move from slip to the hook at the end of the month, (can't afford to stay in a slip here... very expensive and electric is 65 cents per kilowatt hour).
Thanks Scott & Joe for your help! You guys are the BEST!
Fair seas and God bless!

Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas
We made it to Marsh Harbour. It took eight days with a short stop over in Marathon Key, FL. Thanks to Peter Ryan for bringing your experience to the table and sailing with me.
